What is CAMP?

CAMP is a nonprofit organization, comprised of Christians and Muslim men and women, dedicated to the promotion of peace, justice, and the reconciliation of all men and nations.

Purpose of CAMP

CAMP's goal is to promote peace and understanding between Christians and Muslims throughout the world with the hope of preventing future conflicts, as well as helping aid the resolution of current conflicts. CAMP supports the basic human rights and dignity of all men and women.

Why is CAMP Needed?

Conflicts involving Christians and Muslims continue all over the world. Secular efforts to establish a lasting peace by organizations such as the United Nations have often failed. CAMP advocates that peace and reconciliation can only be achieved by appealing to the hearts and minds of those submitted to the one true God of all men.

International Conflicts

CAMP is a sponsor of international peace summits, bringing together Christian and Muslim leaders in an effort to establish an ongoing dialogue, developing a plan for the resolution of any and all conflicts.

Funding

CAMP is solely dependent upon provisions from God through gifts, grants, and contributions from churches, mosques, and individuals who believe in the goals of CAMP.CAMP provides food, medicine, and other essentials to civilian victims, such as those in Iraq, Ogaden and Palestine. CAMP assists ongoing efforts to provide aid, whenever possible, regardless of religious belief.

Domestic Issues

CAMP is establishing individual chapters in major cities across the U.S. Once established CAMP members work together to find solutions for issues most affecting the community, such as crime, drug abuse, education, and the homeless. Both Christian and Muslim prison chaplains have requested CAMP chapters be established. Christian and Muslim inmates work together promoting harmony, understanding and efforts to end racial and gang-related violence within the prison system.

Education

A primary function of CAMP is to sponsor lectures and cultivate dialogue between Christian and Muslims in an effort to reach an understanding of both great religions. University chapters of CAMP are being established throughout the nation. Christian and Muslim students sponsor special forums on campus where open dialogue can occur on major issues. Previous program topics include the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, Kashmir, and U.S. Foreign Policy and Islam.

Camp Membership

Christians of all denominations, and all Muslims, whether Shia or Sunni, may join CAMP. Each member receives the CAMP Newsletter, with special articles and updates concerning CAMP's efforts and activities both home and abroad. Members of CAMP also receive invitations to attend local, regional and international programs and Peace Summits.
